We’ve talked about three-dimensional design on the blog before, and this is such a great example of it that we had to share! Remember that three-dimensional design is when we take something from the background and bring it to the foreground. This can be done in virtually any way — think flowers in a painting and a bouquet of flowers on a table in front of it, etc. But this photo shows such a remarkable way that this design tip has been implemented. A simple sunburst mirror hangs above an upholstered headboard in a mountain retreat while sunbursts dance across the ceiling above it. This is such a genius example of ‘bringing it forward’ and creating playful design that resonates with all who encounter it.
