Aside from fibers; dyes, additives, and residues of process chemicals are other components of a textile. The most harmful procedure of producing textile is the finishing process – dyeing, sizing, treating for stain and wrinkle resistance, and the application of retardants. Healthier and eco-friendly alternatives include un-dyed fabrics, clay or dirt dyes, low-impact fabric dyes, and natural dyes. These alternatives avoid chemicals that are harmful to both human health and the environment.
